Cow & Calf Cottages sit on our rural property in Puketapu – a place we’re lucky to call home, and one that we love sharing with guests. Originally from Yorkshire, we named the cottages after The Cow & Calf (a well-known landmark in Ilkley), as a nod to our roots. It’s a spot that brings to mind big skies, open spaces and a relaxed pace of life . . . all things that we’ve tried to capture here in Hawke’s Bay.

Surrounded by rolling farmland and the gentle rhythm of country living, our cottages offer a cosy, comfortable base to unwind. We’re right by the Puketapu cycle track and only a short ride or drive from local wineries, the Puketapu Pub, the river, and Napier’s vibrant coastal city.

Whether you’re here to explore Hawke’s Bay, visit nearby vineyards, ride the trails, or simply slow down, you’ll find everything you need for an easy and restful stay.
